Packet Pick-up

Athletes must pick up their race packets between 3:00 pm and 9:30 pm on Friday May 29, 2009 at Race Headquarters located at the Embarcadero Resort Hotel. There will be no packet or number pick-up on race day.

Pasta Dinner

A pre-race pasta dinner will be held at 6:00 to 8:00 PM May 29, 2009 at the Newport High School multi-purpose room. Directions and tickets will be available at race headquarters. The cost is $7.00 per person (kids 11 and under are $4.00) and includes pasta with marinara sauce, salad and dressing, bread, dessert, and soft drinks. See the registration form for details.

Runner's Breakfast

For the second time, after great reviews the first time, Oceana Natural Food Cooperative in Newport will provide a delicious high energy breakfast with organic ingredients for runners and their friends and families from 4am –11am on race day. The breakfast will be offered at the Newport Yacht Club, a nice building with long tables suitable for groups. This venue is immediately accessible to the shuttle to the starting line. It is also close to the finish line. The breakfast will cost $7 and includes pancakes, granola, fruit, oatmeal, yogurt, juice and coffee and tea. Sign up on line at http://www.oceanafoods.org

The Race

The race will begin at exactly 7:00 AM. Bicycles, skateboards, baby joggers or strollers, rollerskates or blades, animals, and radio headsets are prohibited on the course.

Awards

Awards will be presented at the Embarcadero Resort at 2:30PM following the race.
